Different sections of a police force are investigating cases of hire car theft, credit card fraud and identity theft using traditional methods supported by ever more sophisticated IT systems. The criminals, meanwhile, become increasingly greedy but appear to be committing their crimes under the radar. The suspense builds, as the police build their case methodically and with the occasional element of luck. There are several twists and turns as the plot races towards a conclusion, and the reader can only wait and see whether the police or the criminals will succeed.David McCaddon has written an enthralling whodunnit by drawing on his many years of experience in law enforcement systems development working with police forces worldwide. The technical details are described with a light touch and this adds to the enjoyment of the novel. A satisfying read.

What a Wicked Web We Weave is a novel full of mystery, intrigue, murder, revenge, fraud and betrayal amongst many other things. It has several twists and turns as you get enthralled into each chapter and it will leave the reader in suspense and at the edge of their seat, right up to the end.

After spending ten years working for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), Tony Lodge finally lands the job of his dreams in the fraud department. He gets thrown in at the deep end when they receive an anonymous phone call, asking them to investigate one of their managers. Being the new kid on the block, it was easier for the department to put him on the case, as it was thought to be a hoax.

As Tony gets deeper and deeper into the investigation, things start to unfold and point him in the direction of someone a lot closer to home than he imagined. Tony tracks back in time to when the office the senior manager in question moved to when it opened a few years before. This is when the investigation starts to throw open suspicious deaths and an episode of mystery.

The real purpose of taking on these two brothers was to wreak vengeance on the police and British army. D.C.I Keir Dickson foils the plan but the priest is injured, losing his hand in the process.

The story now continues with Shaun O’Brien escaping from the hospital bed, hellbent on revenge for the death of his two twin brothers, shot by British soldiers while trying to run a roadblock in Ireland, and for the torture to which he was submitted.

D.C.I. Keir Dickson and his team now have the task of finding O’Brien, and finally bringing him to justice for good.

Twins Torment of War

This is a novel about twin boys who are separated after the divorce of their parents, a German mother, and an English father.

One son joins the German army at the outbreak of World War 2 and the other joins the British army.

Their paths finally meet at the end of the war. In a desperate search to find his brother before the Americans and Russians find him, Albert is sent to Germany to bring his brother, Alfred, home to England to stand trial for war crimes and to prevent Alfred from receiving the death sentence.
